BJ is a Senior Associate with 7 years’ experience acting for private construction and government clients in an array of matters. BJ regularly drafts, reviews and negotiates a variety of contracts and agreements for both public and private clients. BJ also has extensive experience acting for principals (including both governments and non-government), head contractor, and subcontractors in a range of construction and general commercial disputes, including in relation to contract, negligence and misleading and deceptive conduct claims. In addition to general litigation matters, BJ has in-depth knowledge of security of payment legislation in multiple jurisdictions, and regularly prepares adjudication applications and adjudication responses worth millions of dollars. He has also assisted several different principals to manage complex contractor insolvencies and project breakdowns to manage subcontractor’s charges, submit proofs of debt and make sure that the client’s ongoing projects can proceed as efficiently as possible even in trying circumstances.
